Job summary

Yee Loong Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to support fabrication and erection activities. You will inspect at various stages, review drawings, and verify material compliance to codes and project specs. The role includes liaising with third party inspectors and coordinating NDT activities.

Experience in structural and mechanical steel fabrication, plus CSWIP 3.1 WI / AWS CWI is advantageous. Independent, motivated candidates with knowledge of ASME/AWS D1.1 are preferred.

Qualifications

• QA/QC work experience in structural and mechanical steel fabrication and installation works is preferred.
• CSWIP 3.1 WI / AWS CWI would be an added advantage.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Knowledge in ASME / AWS D1.1 Code will definitely be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection at respective stages of fabrication and erection.
• Assist in preparation Inspection Test Plan/Quality Plan as per client / project specification.
• Carry out QC inspection such as material receiving, marking & layout, weld fit-up, welding inspection for visual inspection & dimensional.
• Verify material for compliance with specification / Code requirement.
• Review drawing for inspection on fabrication material.
• Sort and compile MDR books for project requirements.
• Liaises with 3rd party inspectors.
• Verify & review NDT activities.
