Job summary

YTL Construction is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager in Johor, Malaysia to proactively enhance quality systems. The role involves audits, process improvements, and collaboration with key partners to drive preventive actions and continuous improvement across infrastructure, MEP, and civil works.

The ideal candidate will oversee QA/QC activities, ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, and report to the Senior QAQC Manager on quality performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 9+ years of relevant work experience.
• Attended QLASSIC Assessment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, or equivalent design tools.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop standardized production, quality and customer-service standards in construction industry.
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.
• Verify the implementation and operation of QA/QC systems through audits and inspections at HQ and site offices.
• Report to Senior QAQC Manager on the progress and performance of the QMS.
• Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 9001:2015 compliant QMS.
• Review and control Quality Management Procedures, Manuals for Infrastructure, MEP, Civil and subcontractors.
• Ensure non-conformance issues are investigated and preventive actions taken.
• Communicate contractual quality requirements to key personnel.
• Ensure calibration of inspections and test equipment per schedule.
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile reports.
• Build a strong team through coaching and training.

Job description

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards in construction industry.
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
• Verify the implementation and operation of the quality assurance and control systems, through planning and conducting internal quality audits and inspection activities at HQ and site offices.
• Report to Senior QAQC Manager on the progress and performance of the QMS.
• Ensure implementation and continuous improvement of overall Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015.
• Review, update and control the distribution of the Quality Management Procedure, Quality Manual and related procedures for Infrastructure, MEP, Civil and other subcontractors and divisions.
• Ensure all non-conformance issues are promptly investigated, corrected and preventive actions are taken to resolve the issues swiftly.
• Ensure the contractual quality requirements of projects are extensively communicated to all key personnel, so that they have a deep understanding of the requirements to execute the tasks.
• Ensure the calibration of all inspections, measurements and test equipment are conducted according to the defined schedule.
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD, or equivalent and some design calculation packages
