Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking a QA/QC Engineer (M&E) for Nilai, Negeri Sembilan to implement, monitor, and improve QA/QC procedures across electrical and mechanical works. You will review ITPs, method statements, drawings and ensure on-site workmanship meets project specs.

The role requires 3–8 years of QA/QC experience in construction, with familiarity in HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Familiar with QAQC procedures, ITP, method statements, material inspections, and testing & commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QAQC procedures for M&E works.
• Review and verify ITPs, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Conduct inspections for mechanical and electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specs and drawings.
• Monitor site activities and workmanship quality.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on quality-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain QAQC reports, inspection records, material approvals, and test reports.
• Ensure all M&E works comply with local regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final handover inspections.
• Identify non-conformance issues and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Support project teams in achieving quality objectives and timely project completion.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-8 years of QAQC experience in construction projects. Experience in M&E systems including HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary, and ELV systems.
• Familiar with QAQC procedures, ITP, method statements, material inspections, and testing & commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and under tight project schedules.
