Job summary

Mercury Technology Consultancy Sdn Bhd in Penang (George Town) is seeking a detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to analyze product requirements and clarify defects. You will design and execute test cases and plans for web applications, and perform functional and API testing, tracking defects to resolution.

Requirements include 2–3 years in web QA, a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS, strong API testing with Postman, and good English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

2–3 years experience in web application testing or software QA.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Solid knowledge of manual testing techniques.
Hands-on API testing experience using Postman or other tools.
Good command of Chinese and English; ability to document testing results clearly.

Responsibilities

Analyze product requirements and clarify defects.
Design and execute test cases and test plans with understanding of requirements and testing techniques.
Perform testing activities (functional and API) for the testing cycle from start to delivery and track defects.
Initialize new ideas and contribute to the development and testing process.
Assist the Line Manager with daily testing activities, progress updates, and other tasks.
