Job summary

See Song & Sons Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a dedicated QA/QC Engineer for our major marine and civil project in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The role focuses on implementing QA/QC plans, conducting inspections, and coordinating with project teams to uphold stringent quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering or quality management degree and has 2–3 years of marine QA/QC experience, with strong ISO 9001 knowledge and experience in ITPs and QA/QC documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• 2-3 years of QA/QC experience in marine related project.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, ISO 9001 and relevant industry codes.
• Experience in preparing QA/QC documentation, inspection test plans and quality reports.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willing to be based at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Conduct inspections and tests of construction work, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Review method statements, technical submittals, and material approvals.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, reports, and documentation for audits and project handover.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants and client representatives on quality-related matters.
• Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong quality and safety culture across the project site.
