Job summary

Desa Southern Food Products Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA Intern (Food Science / Food Technology) to support incoming material inspections, in-process QA, and documentation. You will assist with food safety activities, product testing samples, and GMP hygiene monitoring in a food manufacturing setting.

The role involves assisting with QA records, audits, traceability, and corrective actions, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology, Biotechnology).
• Basic knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food safety is advantageous.
• Willing to learn and work in a food manufacturing environment.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive in taking initiative.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in incoming raw material and packaging material inspections.
• Support in-process quality inspections during production and packing activities.
• Assist with food safety and quality monitoring activities.
• Support QA documentation, records filing and data updates.
• Assist in preparing samples for product testing and sensory evaluation.
• Support monitoring of GMP, hygiene and food safety practices in production areas.
• Assist the QA team in maintaining FSSC 22000, HACCP and other food safety documentation.
• Support internal audit, traceability/mock recall and other QA activities when required.
• Assist in investigating quality issues and following up on corrective actions.
• Perform other QA-related duties and projects assigned by the supervisor.
