Job summary

Jungheinrich Business Excellence Center in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web and API services. You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to define effective test strategies and ensure product quality in a cloud-based environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cypress or Playwright, API testing, SQL validation, and familiarity with GitHub CI/CD and Docker.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Cypress or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of STLC and Agile methods.
• Experience in API testing and REST validation.
• Proficient in GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines and Docker familiarity.
• SQL queries for data validation.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures.
• Experience with Playwright is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure product quality and stability.
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, log, and track defects, and support resolution with development teams. Validate backend processes, APIs, and database integrity.
• Work within cloud-based development environments (e.g., SAP BAS) for testing and validation.
• Contribute to test framework maintenance and improvements.
• Support test data setup and containerized execution using Docker.
