Job summary

Tecforte Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced QA professional to analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and own the QA process end-to-end. You will design and execute manual tests for web apps and develop automated scripts for UI and API testing.

The role requires hands-on testing experience, strong SQL data validation, and proficiency in Python-based automation and UI frameworks like Selenium or Playwright. Hybrid work with weekly office presence is available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing web applications.
• Experience with test automation for web and API testing.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using Python or similar languages.
• Experience with UI automation frameworks (Selenium/Playwright).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of SQL backend data validation.
• Comfortable working in Linux/RHEL environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and designs to identify test scenarios, coverage gaps and risks.
• Take full ownership of the QA process end-to-end, from requirement review and test planning through test case design and execution.
• Take initiative to identify gaps and drive improvements in QA practices with minimal supervision.
• Design, review, and execute manual test cases for web-based applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
• Decide and justify which test cases should be automated vs manual.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Plan and execute performance, load, and stress testing.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Log, track, and manage defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
