Job summary

SotaTek in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester to join our QA team. You will design, implement and execute automated and manual testing strategies to ensure software quality across web applications.

Responsibilities include test strategy, automation development with Selenium, API testing with Postman and Rest Assured, managing test data, tracking defects in Jira/Zephyr, and driving performance testing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in IT or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in automated software testing.
• Strong proficiency with Selenium test automation framework.
• Solid programming and scripting skills, particularly in Java.
• Experience with BDD tools (Cucumber or SpecFlow).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter or LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
• Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• ISTQB or similar QA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium framework.
• Create automated tests for web applications covering functional, regression, performance, and smoke testing; automate test environment deployments.
• Execute automated and manual test scripts, analyze results, and document findings; API testing with Postman and Rest Assured.
• Manage test data sets and track defects using Jira/Zephyr; collaborate with dev teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct performance testing and identify bottlenecks; suggest improvements.
• Maintain documentation of test cases, scripts, results, and processes, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
