Job summary

JAC Recruitment supports a specialty connectivity manufacturer in Penang seeking a Quality Assurance professional. The role focuses on driving product and process quality, interfacing with customers and suppliers, and leading corrective actions to ensure total customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or science, 3–5 years in QA/QC, and knowledge of quality tools (SPC, MSA, PPAP). ISO9001 experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized university or related field.
• Analytical in problem solving and data-driven decision making.
• Experience or familiarity with quality processes and customer-facing interfaces is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality-related projects for product and process quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on quality issues and failures.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness.
• Prepare customer/internal 8D reports for quality issues.
• Oversee inspection and testing of incoming, in-process, and finished products to meet specifications.
• Manage non-conforming parts per the quality management system.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for projects related to product and process quality to ensure quality products and total customer satisfaction.
• Key personnel to interface with customers / suppliers / internal team related to quality issues and failure incidences.
• Driving issues for root cause(s), corrective action, and monitoring for effectiveness.
• Lead the internal team and prepare customer / Internal 8D report whenever there is quality issues.
• Oversee quality inspection and testing of incoming, in process and outgoing product to confirm products quality meet the specification.
• Manage non-conformance incoming parts and goods tin accordance with quality management system.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science from recognized university or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in quality assurance, quality control or a similar role.
• Analytical in problem solving.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawing and quality core tools such as SPC, MSA, PPAP.
• ISO9001 experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in the cable and connector industry will be an added advantage.
