Job summary

Grand Venture Technology in Johor seeks a Quality Engineer to support the QA Engineer in ensuring parts meet customer and internal quality requirements while driving continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to perform CAPA, root cause analysis, audits and documentation in line with ISO 9001/ISO 14001, maintaining quality records and supporting new project quality criteria as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the precision machining industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience in quality problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Engineering support to ensure parts produced meet customer and internal quality requirements.
• Support production audits and liaise with customers to resolve quality-related issues and feedback.
• Work closely with internal departments and external parties to identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement.
• Monitor and review monthly quality performance and prepare monthly quality performance reports.
• Participate in new project start-up meetings and establish quality criteria for new parts when customer specs are not provided.
• Collaborate on containment, root cause analysis and CAPA for quality issues, and follow up to ensure permanent resolution.
• Support implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company's Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
• Ensure quality activities and documentation comply with applicable customer requirements and ISO standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Purpose

To support the current QA Engineer in managing quality matters for CEM, particularly for new projects, ensuring products meet customer and quality requirements while driving continuous improvement and effective corrective/preventive actions.

Responsibilities

Provide Quality Engineering support to ensure parts produced meet customer and internal quality requirements.

Support production audits and liaise with customers to resolve quality-related issues and feedback.

Work closely with internal departments and external parties to identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement.

Monitor and review monthly quality performance and prepare monthly quality performance reports.

Participate actively in new project start-up meetings and support the establishment of quality criteria and requirements for new parts where customer specifications are not provided.

Work closely with relevant internal teams on containment, root cause analysis, corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) for quality issues.

Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure issues are effectively and permanently resolved.

Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company's Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

Ensure quality activities and documentation comply with applicable customer requirements and ISO standards.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the precision machining industry.

Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Experience in quality problem-solving, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.

Good command of spoken and written English.

Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Willing to support new project activities and customer quality requirements.
