Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an experienced software and cloud engineer to join our technology hub. You will design and maintain production-grade Python code powering cloud services and REST APIs, with a focus on Django or FastAPI.

You will architect scalable Azure-based platform services using Terraform Cloud, develop AI-assisted workflows, and own cloud capabilities end-to-end while collaborating with multiple teams to translate business goals into actionable tech specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or certificates.
• 5–10 years of software and cloud engineering experience.
• Proven Python web development with REST APIs.
• Strong Azure cloud expertise with IaC Terraform Cloud.
• Experience with AI-infrastructure and agentic workflows is a plus.

Operating with an "infrastructure as software" philosophy, the company applies software engineering rigor—centered around Python, Microsoft Azure, Terraform Cloud, and AI-assisted agentic workflows to design self-service platform tools and automation capabilities. • Software & Service Engineering (~80% Focus): Design, write, and maintain clean, production-grade Python code (primarily Django; FastAPI/Flask) to power cloud web services, REST APIs, and internal automation tools.
• Cloud Architecture & IaC (~20% Focus): Architect and build scalable, resilient cloud platform services on Microsoft Azure (with secondary support on GCP) using Terraform Cloud.
• AI Infrastructure & Agentic Workflows: Develop and integrate AI-assisted development tools, agentic workflows, chatbots, NPC servers, and custom skills to streamline engineering processes.
• Platform Ownership: Act as an internal "Product Owner" for cloud capabilities, managing cloud platform services end-to-end—from design and execution to operations and continuous enhancement.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to translate business goals into clear technical specifications, driving self-service features and improving the overall developer experience.

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of software and cloud engineering experience.
• Python Mastery: Proven expertise in building web development projects and REST APIs using Python (Django preferred; Flask or FastAPI accepted).
• Cloud Engineering: Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (GCP experience is a secondary plus).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep familiarity with Terraform and Terraform Cloud.
• AI Infrastructure: Practical experience or research interest in AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, chatbots, NPC servers, and custom skills.
• Modern Cloud Stack: Working knowledge of Kubernetes, internal developer platforms, and cloud/web service architecture.
