Job summary

Kamal Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled electrical technician in Malaysia to perform single phase and three-phase wiring, install cables, switchboards and conduits, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance. You will diagnose faults and conduct insulation resistance, polarity and earth continuity tests, while following Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess PW2/PW4 certificate issued by the Energy Commission.
• Experience in electrical wiring and systems.
• Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proven experience in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Able to travel to project sites.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Job description

This role involves executing single phase and three-phase electrical wiring, installing equipment such as cables, switchboards, and conduits, and performing ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance. You will diagnose electrical faults and conduct critical system tests including insulation resistance, polarity, and earth continuity testing. The role requires strict adherence to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) regulations, identification of electrical hazards, and enforcement of proper safety and PPE protocols. You will read and interpret technical blueprints and schematic diagrams, prepare accurate testing records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation. You will supervise site workers and technicians, collaborate with engineers and external contractors, and provide technical support to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
