Job summary

FLEXTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN BHD in Penang seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to drive MRP execution, manage PO releases, and lead a Buyer group in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 6+ years in purchasing with 2 years of leadership, and strong knowledge of supply chain management, ERP/MRP systems, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires minimum 6 years experience in Purchasing, with 2 years of leader experience and at least 5 years in material related function.
• Highly knowledgeable in supply chain management.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP system and MS operation.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for MRP execution efficiency and productivity.
• Drive MRP report execution by managing PO releases, PO rescheduling, and supplier response turnaround time.
• Supplier OTD to support full kit per materials commit.
• Inventory management with expediting and escalation for shortages.
• Prepare shortages reports to monitor any shortage closely.
• Provide leadership to the Buyer group and address staff issues as required.
• Provide feedback to suppliers regarding quality and production complaints and monitor supplier performance.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Purchasing Supervisor located in Perai/Bukit Minyak , Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

Be responsible for MRP execution efficiency and productivity. Drive MRP report execution by managing PO releases, PO rescheduling, and supplier response turnaround time.

Supplier OTD to support full kit per materials commit.

Inventory management. Critical shortage expediting and escalation.

Prepare shortages reports to monitor any shortage closely.

Responsible for group performance, planning, and development.

Provide leadership to the Buyer group and deal with staff issues as required

Provide feedback to suppliers with regard to quality and production complaints (supplier evaluation and supplier development) and monitor performance of suppliers.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Requires minimum 6 years experience in Purchasing, with 2 years of leader experience and at least 5 years in material related function.

Have highly knowledgeable in supply chain management.

Familiar with ERP/MRP system & familiar with MS operation.
