FLEXTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN BHD in Perai/Bukit Minyak, Penang, is seeking a Materials Buyer to support procurement for production lines. You will review requisitions, release POs, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and maintain accurate ERP/MRP data.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of Materials Buyer experience with a solid understanding of supply chain processes and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires 2-5 years experience as Materials Buyer.
• Have the basic knowledge of supply chain.
• Be familiar with ERP/MRP system.
• Proficient in MS operation.

Responsabilités

• Reviews requisitions and MRP output.
• PO release and maintain supplier confirmation into system.
• Expedites delivery of goods to users.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as availability and delivery schedule.
• Schedule pull-in, push out and order cancellation based on MRP report and follow up supplier’s feedback.
• Manages supplier lead-time, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.
• Analyzes inventory levels and prepares liability reports for excess and obsolescence.
• May plan, schedule and monitor movement of materials through the production cycle.
• Makes tactical buying decisions and executes corporate sourcing programs.
• Maintains procurement records, reports and metrics.
• RTV execution and excess disposition.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Buyer located in Perai/Bukit Minyak , Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

Reviews requisitions and MRP output.

PO release and maintain supplier confirmation into system. Expedites delivery of goods to users.

Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as availability and delivery schedule.

Schedule pull-in, push out and order cancellation based on MRP report and follow up supplier’s feedback, maintain delivery Schedule in system

Manages supplier to lead-time, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.

Analyzes inventory levels. Prepares liability reports for excess and obsolete management.

May plan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle. to support production smooth run

Makes tactical buying decisions. Executes corporate sourcing programs and purchasing high dollar parts.

Maintains procurement records, reports and metrics.

RTV execution and excess disposition.
