Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to recruit, develop and manage the Purchasing staff, ensuring materials meet MRP requirements and cost targets. The role emphasizes leadership, team mentoring and continuous improvement while aligning with corporate supply chain strategies.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with about 5 years of experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role, and is willing to be based in Penang.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5 years of experience
• Experience in indirect materials purchasing is an added advantage
• Willing to be based in Penang

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop and manage Purchasing staff
• Identify training needs and create development plans
• Set clear performance goals and conduct timely evaluations
• Coach and mentor team members to drive continuous improvement
• Foster open communication and recognition within the team
• Align Materials strategy with campus strategic directions
• Identify cost reduction opportunities by streamlining processes
• Monitor departmental costs and provide regular updates to management
• Ensure materials supply meets MRP requirements to support production
• Monitor and resolve supply issues including shortages and obsolete materials
• Drive down overall materials costs including component pricing and freight expenses
• Ensure all purchase orders comply with agreed pricing, terms and conditions
• Support and execute Jabil Supply Chain strategies and initiatives
• Adhere to safety, health and company security policies

Ensure all purchase orders comply with agreed pricing, terms and conditions

Support and execute Jabil Supply Chain strategies and initiatives

Adhere to all safety, health and company security policies

Requirements
