Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering philosophies and processes.
• Proven track record in leadership, business analysis, process development, and change management.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement experience.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic ME/IE Manager to lead Jabil's manufacturing engineering team in Penang. As the site technology leader, you will drive operational excellence, lead a team of engineers, and play a key role in shaping both site and global ME/IE strategies. What You'll Do

Leadership & People Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Industrial, Process, and Manufacturing Engineers.

Recruit, coach, and manage team performance with clear goals and measurable objectives.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, open communication, and recognition.

Strategy & Business Development

Define and implement ME/IE strategies aligned with campus and corporate directions.

Support business development efforts with current and potential customers.

Provide regular updates to Operations Managers and Business Unit Managers on strategy execution.

Cost & Operational Management

Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives by streamlining processes and eliminating non-value-added activities.

Monitor departmental costs and drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics.

Prepare forecasts for headcount requirements and future technical trends.

Technical Excellence

Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis, metrics management, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Assist with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) issues and lead equipment evaluations.

Explore new processes and technologies to support customer requirements and product densification.

Ensure all procedures and work instructions are efficient, accurate, and non-redundant.

Exchange best practices with other Jabil facilities globally.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree is an advantage.

Minimum 10 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Strong knowledge of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering philosophies and processes.

Proven track record in leadership, business analysis, process development, and change management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Willing to be based in Penang.
