Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA Section Manager/QA Functional Manager based in Penang to lead quality engineering teams, set goals, train staff and foster a high-performance culture.

You will drive a Quality strategy aligned with campus directions, manage costs, oversee regulatory certifications (ISO9000/ISO14000/QS9000/BABT/TUV) and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Quality policies, while sharing best practices across Jabil facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Willing to be based in Penang.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop and manage Quality Engineers, OBA personnel and Quality Analysts
• Identify training needs and create development plans for the team
• Set clear performance goals and conduct timely evaluations
• Coach and mentor team members to drive continuous improvement
• Foster open communication, recognition and a positive team culture
• Define and implement a Quality strategy aligned with campus strategic directions
• Identify cost reduction opportunities by streamlining and eliminating non-value-added processes
• Monitor departmental costs and provide regular updates to BUM, WCM and Operations Manager
• Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis, metrics management and best practices
• Ensure procedures and work instructions are efficient and non-redundant
• Lead regulatory and compliance certifications (ISO9000, ISO14000, QS9000, BABT, TUV) and act as Quality Management Representative (QMR)
• Anticipate and resolve customer quality issues promptly and effectively
• Share knowledge and best practices across Jabil facilities
• Ensure full compliance with all company Health, Safety and Quality policies
