Job summary

KENJO BABY HOUSE SDN. BHD. in Kedah seeks a Purchasing Assistant to support our maternal and baby products business. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain stock levels to prevent shortages while coordinating deliveries with transport partners.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field, at least 2 years in purchasing, strong Excel/Word skills, and fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to serve our diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Language proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, and delivery performance
• Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Ensure optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
• Coordinate delivery arrangements with transport companies
• Monitor and follow up on incoming shipments to ensure timely arrival
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and all relevant documentation
• Safeguard company information and maintain strict confidentiality
