UEA Engineering Sdn Bhd in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Purchasing Clerk cum Storekeeper to join our team. This full-time role blends procurement and inventory management, ensuring smooth supply chain and warehouse operations.

You will manage procurement activities, maintain accurate stock records and coordinate receipt and storage of materials for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has secondary education (diploma preferred) and experience in purchasing or storekeeping.

Qualifications

• Must have secondary education or equivalent; diploma in purchasing, logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
• Experience as a purchasing clerk, storekeeper or similar warehouse role in manufacturing/logistics preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Issue and process purchase orders and liaise with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
• Receive, inspect and store incoming goods per company procedures.
• Organise warehouse storage for space optimisation and easy retrieval.
• Prepare requisition forms and documentation for procurement activities.
• Monitor stock levels and alert management when reordering is needed.
• Manage issuance of materials to production departments as required.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and stock takes.

About the role

UEA Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Clerk cum Storekeeper to join our team in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that combines purchasing and inventory management responsibilities, playing a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and warehouse operations. You will be responsible for managing procurement activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating the receipt and storage of materials and equipment essential to our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Issue & processing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy
• Receiving, inspecting and storing incoming goods in the warehouse in accordance with company procedures
• Organising and managing warehouse storage to optimise space utilisation and ensure easy retrieval of items
• Preparing requisition forms and documentation for procurement activities
• Monitoring stock levels and alerting management when reordering is necessary
• Managing the issuance of materials and components to production departments as required
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse and storage areas
• Assisting with inventory reconciliation and stock take exercises

What we're looking for

• Completed secondary education or equivalent qualification; diploma in purchasing, logistics or supply chain management is advantageous
• Proven experience as a purchasing clerk, storekeeper or in a similar warehouse role within the manufacturing or logistics industry
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers, internal departments and colleagues
• Physical capability to handle materials and equipment, including lifting and moving items as required
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe working environmentReliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain operations is preferred
