Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in any related courses or its equivalent from reputable universities.
• At least 3-4 years proven experience working with cross functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements.
• Working experience in manufacturing environment or currently in similar role is an added advantage.
• Experience in ERP environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, problem solver, positive thinking and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Job description

Responsible for raw material procurement activities like sourcing, purchasing and negotiations.

Collaborate with production planners to ensure alignment of order quantity and delivery schedule to meet the manufacturing demands.

Lead the vendor evaluation, selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, relationship management and continuous improvement.

Evaluate the root causes and propose resolutions for all vendor-related challenges and ensure the integrity of corrective actions.

Work closely with the project team on project delivery, participate in project meetings and coordinate for vendor related matters.

To analyze the past purchased data from the system and communicate with the department users to determine the materials as a priority based on usage frequency, price fluctuation and availability then recommend for long term commercial contract.

Participate and contribute in purchasing automation and digitalization improvements together with team members.

Lead the cost down activity on annual basis.
