Job summary

We seek a senior procurement professional to lead supplier management, auditing, and contract negotiations, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across UL and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, with 2+ years in a senior role.
• Familiarity with UL standards and ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CPSM, CIPS) are preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance with UL and ISO standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant certifications.
• Maintain approved vendor lists and ensure suppliers meet regulatory and safety requirements.
• UL & ISO Compliance: Ensure all purchased products meet safety and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with QA and Engineering to verify supplier certifications and product conformity.
• Maintain documentation and records for compliance audits and inspections.
• Stay updated on changes in UL, ISO, and other standards affecting procurement.
• Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements.
• Draft and manage contracts ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve disputes and manage supplier performance issues professionally.
• Procurement Planning & Execution: Forecast material requirements with production/planning teams.
• Ensure timely procurement to support production and minimize downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock turnover.
• Cost Optimization & Budget Control: Analyze procurement data for cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Track and report procurement expenditures against budget.
• Market Research & Risk Management: Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers.
• Assess supply chain risks and mitigate.
• Monitor geopolitical/economic factors affecting supply continuity.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
• Prepare procurement reports for management review.
• Ensure documentation supports UL and ISO audit requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with QA, Engineering, Finance, and Production.
• Participate in product development and improvement initiatives.
• Support internal audits and continuous improvement programs.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior purchasing staff.
• Lead procurement-related projects and initiatives.
• Promote a culture of compliance, efficiency, and ethical sourcing.

Key Responsibilities
