PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor, is hiring a pump operator to monitor and control pump operations and supporting equipment. You will follow SOPs to ensure oil and raw materials transfer smoothly and safely.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, a readiness to work shifts and overtime, and a collaborative, safety-first mindset for a busy factory environment.

Formación

• Experience in pump operations or oil handling is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment is advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsabilidades

• Control and monitor pump operations and related equipment according to SOP.
• Ensure oil, raw materials and product transfer is smooth and safe.
• Monitor pressure, flow and pump conditions; inspect pumps and valves.
• Report leaks, damage or abnormalities to supervisor.
• Assist with basic maintenance and keep pump house clean and orderly.
• Follow safety, health and environmental procedures at all times.

Descripción del empleo

Control and monitor pump operations and related equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP). Ensure the process of transferring oil, raw materials and products is carried out smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

Monitor pressure, flow and pump operating conditions to ensure the system functions properly

Conduct routine inspections of pumps, valves, pipelines and related equipment

Detect and report any leaks, damage or unusual conditions to the supervisor

Assist with basic maintenance work and ensure the pump house area is always clean and orderly

Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures when carrying out tasks

Carry out other tasks directed by the supervisor from time to time

About you

Experience in pump operations, oil handling or factory environment is an advantage

Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and liquid transfer systems is an advantage

Willing to work shift and overtime (OT) when required

Responsible, disciplined and prioritise safety

Able to work individually and in teams
