Job summary

Menara Maxis is seeking a Solar Finance Admin Associate for a 12-month internship in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage financial operations for the solar business, including payout and accrual calculations, invoicing validation, and SAP reconciliations to ensure accurate cost recognition.

The role requires a degree in finance or business, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Calculate payouts and accruals for solar expenses.
• Prepare reports to track and reconcile payouts and accruals for month-end close.
• Validate supplier invoices against POs, contracts, and completion docs; coordinate with Finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor CAPEX/OPEX spends and maintain records of solar installation.
• Perform actual vs SAP reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Develop financial models to improve visibility of key cost measures.

Why does this job exist and why is it critical? The Solar Finance Admin Associate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations related to our solar business. This position involves calculating payouts and accruals, validating complex supplier invoices, and ensuring financial integrity through thorough SAP to actuals reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or business, good organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately calculate payout and accruals for solar expenses
• Prepare reports to track and reconcile payouts and accruals, ensuring accurate cost recognition and timely month-end close
• Validate supplier invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and completion documents; liaising with Finance to resolve discrepancies
• Monitor CAPEX / OPEX spends and maintain detailed records of solar installation
• Perform actual vs SAP reconciliations to ensure solar financial data integrity
• Develop financial models to analyse and improve visibility of key cost measures for actionable plans.
