PwC Malaysia is seeking an Intern in the Professional Development Unit to support monitoring of professional development activities, including accounting examination papers for employees and external clients, and to prepare accurate, timely reports.

You will help maintain training and examination records, track participation, registrations, progress and completion, identify missing information, and provide the team with clear updates.

Qualifications

  • Able to organise information and present it in a clear, easy-to-understand format.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track professional accounting examination papers for employees and external clients, including registrations, sittings, results, progress and actions.
  • Monitor registration, attendance and completion records for learning programmes.
  • Update training trackers and internal records accurately and on time.
  • Prepare regular reports on participation, completion status and outstanding actions.
  • Check information from different sources and highlight missing or inconsistent data.
  • Follow up with participants, programme coordinators and stakeholders to obtain required information.
  • Track deadlines and provide timely reminders on outstanding submissions or actions.
  • Maintain supporting documents and ensure records are organised for easy reference.
  • Assist with simple data analysis to identify patterns or issues.

Job Description & Summary

As an intern in the Professional Development Unit, you will support the team in monitoring professional development activities, including professional accounting examination papers for employees and external clients, and preparing accurate, timely reports. You will help maintain training and examination records, track participation, registrations, progress and completion, identify missing information, and provide the team with clear updates. This role is suitable for someone who is organised, comfortable working with data and willing to follow up with different stakeholders.

Key accountabilities
  • Monitor and track professional accounting examination papers, including ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA and CPA Australia, for employees and external clients, covering registrations, examination sittings, results, progress and outstanding actions.
  • Monitor registration, attendance and completion records for assigned learning programmes.
  • Update training trackers and internal records accurately and on time.
  • Prepare regular reports on participation, completion status and outstanding actions.
  • Check information from different sources and highlight missing, incomplete or inconsistent data.
  • Follow up with participants, programme coordinators and other stakeholders to obtain required information.
  • Track deadlines and provide timely reminders on outstanding submissions or actions.
  • Maintain supporting documents and ensure records are properly organised for easy reference.
  • Assist with simple data analysis to identify patterns, recurring issues or areas requiring attention.
  • Prepare concise status updates, summaries and presentation materials for the team.
  • Support the administration of learning programmes, including scheduling, participant communications and feedback collection.
  • Handle employee and learning information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
  • Suggest practical ways to simplify trackers, reports or routine monitoring activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Professional Development Unit when required.
Minimum years experience required
  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree
  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and detailed records.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Able to organise information and present it in a clear, easy-to-understand format.
  • Careful and accurate, particularly when handling data and preparing reports.
  • Able to manage several deadlines and follow up respectfully with stakeholders.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills.
  • Willing to learn, ask questions and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Able to handle confidential information appropriately.
