Hitachi Energy is seeking an Application Engineer to provide specialized protection and control engineering support across utility, transportation and industrial customers in Malaysia and APAC. The role spans design, testing, commissioning and lifecycle services for protection relay systems and teleprotection solutions.
You will collaborate with regional teams, perform protection studies, and ensure integration with RTU/SCADA platforms, IEC 61850 and related protocols while traveling ~20% for
Formación
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in protection and control engineering or related area.
- Strong knowledge of protection relays and schemes for transmission and distribution.
- Hands-on testing, commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with relay settings and fault analysis desirable.
Responsabilidades
- Act as technical focal point for protection and control solutions across projects.
- Design, configure, test and commission protection relay systems and schemes.
- Perform protection coordination studies and fault analysis.
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and lifecycle service activities.
- Collaborate with RTU, SCADA and substation automation teams.
- Lead homologation and product approval activities with documentation.
