Job summary

ETP Ventures Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Engineer – Electrical Underground Cable Works (11kV, 33kV, 132kV) to lead planning and coordination for underground cable installations in Malaysia.

You will develop schedules, manage resources, and liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to keep milestones on track. The role emphasizes design oversight, reviewing specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with codes, and providing on-site technical support.

Qualifications

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timeline, resources, budget, and scope for underground electrical cable installations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules and manage milestones to meet deadlines.
• Prepare progress reports for stakeholders on status, challenges and resolutions.
• Review technical specifications, drawings and designs for electrical underground cable installations.
• Ensure installations meet industry standards, codes and regulations.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for cable routing, trenching, or equipment.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and risks.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and professionals to resolve issues and keep project on track.

Job description

Project Engineer – Electrical Underground Cable Works (11kv, 33kv,132kv)

Project Planning & Coordination:

Develop comprehensive project plans outlining the timeline, resources, budget, and scope of work for underground electrical cable installations .

Coordinate with internal teams (experience in managing foreign workers is an added advantage), subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of tasks according to the project plan.

Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements (established experience with TNB/Local councils is an added advantage)

Prepare and maintain project schedules, and manage project milestones to meet deadlines.

Prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders, including updates on project status, challenges, and resolutions.

2. Design and Technical Oversight:

Review technical specifications, drawings, and designs for electrical underground cable installations.

Ensure that all installations meet industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting on-site, including resolving issues with cable routing, trenching, or equipment.

Conduct site visits and inspections to assess progress and identify potential issues or risks.

Monitor and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to resolve technical issues and keep the project on track.
