Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Quality Assurance/Control professional to drive QA and QC across an EPC project in Malaysia. You will spearhead PQP development, coordinate with customers, and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 standards throughout design, procurement, and construction phases.

The role requires strong communication skills in English, a background in engineering, and hands-on experience with ITPs, NCRs, and lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences with relevant field experience.
• Experience in EPC project environments for large-scale programs.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards; lead-auditor preferred.
• Proficiency in QA/QC processes including PQP, ITP, NCR, COPQ.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and spoken English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and participate to Project KOM to evaluate quality obligations and clarifications with tender and project teams.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) for the project.
• Support stage gates, lessons learned, and mitigation actions across the project lifecycle.
• Serve as main contact with the customer on all project quality issues.
• Drive QA/QC culture and assurance activities on the project site.
• Prepare for project close-out meeting and capture lessons learned for reports.

• Prepare and participate to Project Internal and External Kick Off Meeting (KOM) to evaluate quality contractual obligations and any clarification/deviations to be discussed with the tendering and project team.
• Develop, implement, and follow up the quality management system (QMS) for the project in the form of the Project Quality Plan (PQP), in addition to specific project specific quality document required.
• Participate to Project Stage Gates when requested and support the project team in reviewing project applicable Lessons Learned, implementing mitigate action plans, identifying and recording new Lessons Learned raised throughout the whole project execution.
• Act as main point of contact and interface with the Customer on all Project Quality issues.
• Drive Quality culture, Quality Assurance, Quality Control on the Project.
• Prepare and participate in the internal Project Close-out meeting supporting all project stakeholders, if needed, in recording project Lessons Learned and including the findings in the project close-out report.

Project Quality Assurance

• Initiate and/or follow up Project Quality Audits as per Customer and client's requirements.
• Support Customer satisfaction process (TP-NPS) for the project.
• Keep an overview of Cost of poor quality (COPQ), Project Budget Saving (PBS) and changes related to COPQ.
• Ensure that the nonconformance management process is applied in the project, according to the PQP and HE instructions. Monitor project NCR, ensure processes are known, implemented, and followed in the project (NCR, CCRP) and drive / support resolutions.
• Monitor Project Quality KPIs (i.e., NCR, CCRP, COPQ, Lesson Learned, and T-NPS,) and relating reporting.
• Prepare the Quality input for the Project Review Meeting and participate

Project Quality Control – Site

• Ensure needed Site Quality Training are performed to all new HE employees site personnel.
• Validate Quality Document before site mobilization: i.e., Site ITPs & ITRs, processes and procedures for managing site inspections, NCR, preservation, storage and preservation of equipment at site, punch list, and documentation handover to customer.
• Participate to Site Sub-Contractor Kick-off Meeting when needed, to discuss quality points.
• Validate the execution of the ITP during Civil Works, Installation and Commissioning checking (i.e., with Site Audits) that all Subcontractor inspections have been performed in accordance with the approved Site ITP.
• Validate the Site Handover spot checking if the handover of the final documentation to customer is performed in accordance with contractual obligations and HE processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in Engineering Procurement Construction EPC) project-based environment for large and complex organizations (Power, Energy, Renewable, data center sector preferred, 10 years’ experience preferred).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (lead-auditor certification preferred).
• Minimum bachelor’s degree (engineering or scientific master’s degree preferred).
• General Knowledge of Project Management including Risk Management
• Experience in Project Quality Plan (PQP), Master test Plan (MTP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Inspections, test procedures, punch list, mechanical completion, Lessons Learned, COPQ, Customer voice T-NPS processes.
• Good knowledge of 8D problem-solving tools, RCA, PDCA, 5W, L6S, FMEA and other quality methodologies.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (knowledge of other languages would be a plus).
• Knowledge of Salesforce & customer feedback and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
