Job summary

A leading company in engineering solutions is seeking an engineer for project management and supervision in Johor. This role involves overseeing the project cycle from design to installation, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in plant design, preferably in chemical process plants.
  • Strong SHEQ knowledge.
  • Ability to enforce SHEQ requirements.

Job description

  • Assist the team with technical documentation and engineering works.
  • Manage and provide supervision throughout project cycle (design, construction and installation).
  • Prepare contractor/vendor quotation evaluation and recommendation.
  • Coordinate project activities, monitor and ensure project to be delivered on time.
  • Conduct Risk Assessment on work matter statements
  • Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Site installation supervision and inspection works.
  • Resolve issues or problems that arise on the construction site promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor expenditures and project cost.
  • Scheduling and tracking of project progress, quality control and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in plants design, preferably in chemical process plants.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong SHEQ knowledge and ability to enforce SHEQ requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and must be able to identify and solve problems quickly.
  • Ability in working closely with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Well-versed in international codes & standards and local regulations.
  • Ability to schedule, plan, forecast and manage technical activities
  • Ability to work within budgets and timeline.
  • Possess own transport and flexibility in travelling as and when required.
