Job summary

HICOM-Teck See is seeking an APQP-oriented project engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor product development in line with schedules and quality standards. You will work with design teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely progression through APQP phases.

The role requires a diploma in mechanical or process engineering, at least two years in manufacturing, and willingness to travel within Malaysia and abroad for mould trials and meetings. Occasional after-hours support may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing experience (advantage)
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas
• Able to attend mould trials and project activities outside normal hours
• Capable of multitasking in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, coordinate and monitor project implementation during design and development per schedule and quality
• Assist in preparation of time-based programs and monitor progress according to development plan for stages
• Support communication with key stakeholders including customers, internal teams and sub-suppliers
• Assist APQP leader and compile documentation per IATF/ISO9001 and customer requirements
• Write progress and final reports on development status and handover to operations upon completion
• Support in technical difficulties during project development at customer sites or internally
• Prepare APQP documentation for internal and customer approval

Job description

• 1. Planning, execute, coordinate and monitor the Implementation of the project during design and development stage according to schedule & quality.
• 2. To assist for preparation time based on program, ensure that it is monitor & control in accordance to development program for various stages.
• 3. To support on communicating with key stakeholders including customers, internal teams & sub-suppliers.
• 4. To assist Project Leader of APQP phases & documentation compilation with the support from related APQP members department according to IATF / ISO9001 and customer requirement.
• 5. To write progress and final report on the development status, issues arises and officially handover to operation teams upon completion of each project.
• 6. To support in any unexpected technical difficulties and other problem that arise during project development, either at customers or internal.
• 7. To prepare APQP documentation for internal & customer approval

Requirements

• 1. Possess at least a Diploma in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
• 2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry is considered an advantage.
• 3. Willing to travel both within Malaysia and overseas for meetings, mould trials, or events at customer and supplier locations.
• 4. Able to commit to attending mould trials or project-related activities outside of normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• 5. Capable of handling multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
