Job summary

Singtel KL, part of Singtel group, is launching a brand-new Shared Services Centre in Kuala Lumpur. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead Telco and ICT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, coordinating with customers, cross-functional teams, and external partners to deliver on time and to quality.

You will manage scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations, deliver regular status updates, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computing, Engineering, IT, or Telecommunications.
  • Approximately 5 years in IT infrastructure, telecom, or customer-facing tech.
  • ≥2 years in managing infrastructure or technology projects.
  • Professional PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, CITPM, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, lifecycle, and governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experience and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Telco and ICT projects per the PMM.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams in a matrix structure.
  • Manage scope, timelines and changes; align with customer expectations.
  • Identify risks, implement mitigations, and escalate critical issues.
  • Build relationships with customers, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Provide regular status updates, governance reporting, and exec communications.
  • Facilitate collaboration across technical and business teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure delivery to quality standards and strong customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate handover activities to operations/maintenance.
  • Produce weekly/monthly progress reports for visibility.
  • Support pre-sales with project management input for bids (RFP).
  • Develop schedules, implementation plans, and customer materials.
  • Promote governance best practices for compliant outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in delivery effectiveness.

Project Manager Role

We need a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Telco and ICT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. The role involves collaboration with customers, cross‑functional teams, and external partners to manage scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring quality and an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end Telco and ICT projects following the established Project Management Methodology (PMM).
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams through a matrix reporting structure to achieve objectives.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and changes, ensuring effective customer expectation management.
  • Identify risks and issues, implement mitigation plans, and appropriately escalated critical matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project status updates, governance reporting, and executive‑level communications.
  • Facilitate collaboration across technical and business teams to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality standards while achieving high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate project handover activities, including documentation and transition to operations or maintenance teams.
  • Produce weekly and monthly project reports to provide visibility on progress, risks, and key milestones.
  • Support pre‑sales activities by contributing project management expertise during proposal and tender (RFP) responses.
  • Develop project schedules, implementation plans, and presentation materials to support customer engagements.
  • Promote governance best practices to ensure compliance and successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery effectiveness and customer experience.
Essential Qualifications
  • Diploma in Computing, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, telecommunications, or a customer‑facing technical environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing infrastructure or technology projects.
  • Professional Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, CITPM, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, lifecycle, and governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experience and project outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing projects within the telecommunications industry.
  • Exposure to enterprise technologies: Data Centre, Network, Storage, Server, Middleware, Cloud, or Cyber Security.
  • ITIL certification or knowledge of IT Service Management practices.
  • Experience supporting government or regulated industry projects.
  • Existing or eligibility for required government security clearance.
  • Experience leading multicultural or geographically distributed project teams.
