Job summary

Samaiden Group seeks a Project Engineer/Coordinator to manage end-to-end projects in renewable energy infrastructure. You will oversee planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, coordinating across design, procurement, construction, and handover with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role requires collaboration with consultants, contractors, and authorities, plus ensuring HSE/QA compliance and ongoing improvement within the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/ Renewable Energy) or related discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or utilities projects; fresh graduates welcome.
• Exposure to utility-scale solar PV projects or other RE infrastructure.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills with an eye for details.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-driven, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of grid interconnection procedures, EPCC workflows, and LSS regulatory frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from planning to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Coordinate LSS project activities across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and resource plans, including efficient allocation of labour, materials, and equipment.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities such as TNB, ST, and SEDA) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, performance, risks, and quality, while managing issues, contractual matters, and ensuring compliance with HSE and QA/QC standards.
• Prepare project reports, support regulatory submissions, lead meetings, assist in testing and commissioning, and drive continuous improvement within the project team.
