Job summary

Accenture PLC in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a capable Project Manager to act as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and on-time delivery across multiple workstreams.

You will oversee scope, cost, schedule and resources, lead risk management and change control, and coordinate strategy, requirements, QA, training and deployment in banking and payments domains.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in managing projects with on-time delivery.
• Excellent estimating, scheduling & budgeting skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong team-building, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
• Strong application project management skill and design knowledge.
• Knowledge of industry business practices (e.g. banking, insurance).
• Project Management in Software Applications/ IT Projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for both internal and external parties to ensure smooth and consistent communication flow.
• Operate effectively in an unstructured environment and understand the firm's breadth of services.
• Responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, resources and project deliverables.
• Assist with strategy development, requirements definition, business process improvement, stakeholder involvement, change management, QA, risk management, user training, configuration, installation, and testing.
• Lead, coordinate and monitor all project activities to ensure scope is delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify and manage project risks to minimize impact on timeline and costs.
• Experience with QA processes for software implementations.
• Generate project documentations (e.g., Functional Specifications) and adhere to reporting procedures.
• Identify customer needs, maintaining client relationships through high-quality delivery.
• Provide consultancy on technical requirements and design/technical specs.
• Project & Risk Management: handling multi-workstream timelines, dependencies, escalations.
• Stakeholder & Executive Communication: align bank leadership, payment scheme bodies, vendor, and teams.
• Core Banking and/or Payment Domain Knowledge: understand modules (GL, loans, deposits, payments).

• Assist with projects that include strategy development, requirements definition, business process improvement, stakeholder involvement, change management, quality assurance, risk management, user training, application configuration, system installation, and testing.
• Lead, coordinate and monitor all project related activities to ensure project scope is delivered with high quality, on schedule and within budget.
• Identify and manage project risks to minimize impact to project timeline, quality of deliverables and costs.
• Experience with managing the Quality Assurance processes for software implementations.
• Ability to generate project documentations (eg. Functional Specification) and adhere to project reporting procedures.
• Identify customer needs, maintaining and expanding client relationships through delivery of solution based high-quality work.
• Provide consultancy services to customers on technical requirements and be responsible for design and technical specifications.
• Project & Risk Management: managing complex, multi-workstream delivery timelines, dependencies, and escalations.
• Stakeholder & Executive Communication: aligning bank leadership, payment scheme bodies (SWIFT, Visa, MAS), vendor, and implementation teams.
• Core Banking and/or Payment Domain Knowledge: understanding modules (GL, loans, deposits, payments) to govern scope and change requests.

Key Qualifications / Requirements

• Have 1 to 3 years’ experience in managing projects with proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent estimating, scheduling & budgeting skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong team-building, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience.
• Strong application project management skill and design knowledge.
