Job summary

INITIA Group is expanding its Projects Division in Malaysia and seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee store renovation, fit-out, and new openings. You will plan, coordinate, and implement projects within budget, timeline, and scope, and report progress to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in a related field, has at least 3 years’ experience in site supervision or retail fit-out, and demonstrates strong scheduling, cost control, vendor management, and leadership

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in site supervision, retail, F&B, or commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and vendor management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Own transport and willing to travel between sites within Malaysia.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all stages of store renovation, fit-out, and construction projects from planning to handover.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, consultants, and vendors to meet timelines, budgets, and design specs.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality, and enforce safety compliance.
• Prepare and review project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports.
• Liaise with landlords, authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution and handover.
• Troubleshoot project issues, anticipate delays, and propose effective solutions.
• Manage procurement of materials and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Report to Higher Management and highlight potential issues or roadblocks during the project period.
