About the Company

Our client is a leading local key player in the Malaysian renewable energy sector, operating as an EPC contractor and developer. With a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple solar infrastructure projects across the nation, they are at the forefront of Malaysia's green energy transition. Their robust portfolio spans Large Scale Solar (LSS), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) rooftop solutions.

They are currently seeking a high-caliber Senior Project Manager and Project Manager to join their dedicated Solar Project Development & Execution team, taking ownership of high-value utility and commercial portfolios from conception to grid connection.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Strategic Project Planning & Execution Oversight
  • End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of multiple EPCC projects in the Large-Scale Solar (LSS) sector, from initial engineering design and execution to final grid connection and handover.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive project portfolio management by optimizing resource allocation across multiple sites and implementing robust cost control and performance monitoring systems.
  • Commercial & Strategic Alignment: Manage comprehensive project budgeting and costing. Full Profit & Loss (P&L) management experience is highly advantageous, ensuring project execution directly supports the organization's broader financial goals.
• 2. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication
  • Mentorship & Direction: Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of Project Managers and multidisciplinary execution teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Growth Support: Support the company's business growth strategy by actively contributing to pre-tender planning, proposal development, comprehensive risk assessments, and high-level client engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the primary conduit between technical site delivery and corporate commercial teams, ensuring seamless communication across all levels of the organization.
• 3. Quality, HSEQ & Compliance
  • Safety & Standards: Ensure all solar sites are managed to the highest safety standards, delivering projects strictly on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Corporate Values & Quality: Maintain strict adherence to corporate core values and ISO compliance, ensuring quality assurance protocols are met consistently through to the final project handover.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Construction Industry with Solar Experience
• Ambitious and aggressive characters with extensive technical knowledge and experience
• Project-oriented and able to handle projects independently
• Willing to relocate/travel to get involved in the entire cycle of a project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Civil, Renewable Energy, Construction Management or related discipline
• A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in project or construction management
