The role offers a remuneration of MYR 10,000 - MYR 15,000 monthly.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of project management experience in construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale solar PV or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC/EPCC project delivery models.
• Demonstrated experience managing project financials, contracts, and stakeholder relationships.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of solar energy projects within our construction and engineering portfolio. This role will oversee project management, engineering coordination, commercial performance, and execution excellence across multiple solar PV projects (Commercial & Industrial and/or Utility-Scale).

The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with a proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure or renewable energy projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the full lifecycle of solar project execution from development handover to commissioning and handover.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Establish project governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance tracking.
• Drive project execution strategies, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Build, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary project teams (project managers, engineers, site teams).
• Coordinate closely with internal departments including engineering, procurement, finance, and commercial.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for clients, partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Foster strong relationships with EPC partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Ensure contract compliance and manage variations, claims, and negotiations.
• Support tendering, bid reviews, and project planning for new opportunities.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Champion a strong HSE culture across all project sites.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Drive quality assurance and commissioning processes to ensure successful project completion.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 15+ years of project management experience in construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale solar PV or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC/EPCC project delivery models.
