Job summary

Mpowering People is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support delivery of a major data centre construction project in Malaysia. You will coordinate across disciplines to keep programme, cost, quality and safety on track.

You will lead day-to-day delivery, manage stakeholders and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership, ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• PM experience in data centre or mission-critical construction.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery processes.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction and MEP packages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project delivery through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Manage programmes, milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule and quality.
• Manage project risks, changes and variations.
• Support procurement and management of construction packages.
• Coordinate with design, commercial, MEP and commissioning teams.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety and quality requirements are met.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and close-out activities.

Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre construction project in Malaysia.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for coordinating key construction activities and ensuring delivery remains on track across programme, cost, quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project delivery from construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate main contractors, specialist subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Manage project programmes, key milestones and critical deliverables.
• Monitor contractor performance against agreed scope, schedule and quality requirements.
• Manage project risks, changes and variations throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Support procurement activities and the management of key construction packages.
• Coordinate closely with design, commercial, MEP and commissioning teams.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with health, safety and quality requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out activities.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven Project Management experience within data centre or mission-critical construction.
• Strong understanding of construction project delivery processes.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction and MEP packages.
• Strong contractor, consultant and stakeholder management experience.
• Good commercial awareness and programme management capability.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Previous project delivery experience within Malaysia or the wider APAC region would be advantageous.
• Availability for a contract/project-based assignment in Malaysia.
