Job summary

Mereka in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an organised operations-oriented teammate to help run programs across Malaysia. You will support project managers from kickoff to wrap on events, build timelines, and coordinate logistics for a 12,000 sq ft makerspace.

Hybrid KL setup with flexible hours and an allowance starting from RM1000; you’ll gain exposure to social enterprise operations and cross-functional teams in tech, design, BD, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months commitment (up to 6).
• Clear written and spoken English — drafting docs and talking to partners.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma (CGPA 2.8+).
• Independent projects, club leadership, or event organising you've run yourself.
• Comfort with tools like Notion, Asana, Trello, or Google Workspace.
• Basic deck design skills (Canva, Figma, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate virtual meetings and run day-of logistics for on-ground workshops at our 12,000 sq ft makerspace.
• Prepare proposals, reports, meeting notes, and project decks that don't need to be rewritten before they go out.
• Help with partner outreach, stakeholder coordination, and light market research for business development.
• Keep the space running — cleanliness, maintenance, and logistics for events hosted on-site.
• Jump into whatever operational work the team needs that week.

If you're the person who keeps the group chat organised, builds the Excel sheet nobody asked for, and quietly makes sure the event actually happens on time — this is for you. You'll learn what it takes to run real programs end-to-end, working alongside project managers shipping impact projects across Malaysia.
