Job summary

SENA TRAFFIC SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. is seeking a technically skilled engineer to support intelligent traffic control projects in Malaysia.

The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining comprehensive design and project documentation, and collaborating with engineers, technicians, and government partners. Candidates should hold a Diploma/Advanced/Higher in Electrical/Electronic engineering with at least 2 years of related experience and possess their own motorcycle with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Willing to travel/drive as required.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety guidelines, and project standards.
• Prepare and maintain design plans, technical specs, maintenance records, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with government agencies, transportation departments, and urban planners.
• Stay updated on traffic engineering trends and signal systems innovations.
• Provide technical guidance within a multidisciplinary team and conduct training as needed.
• Coordinate with technicians and sub-contractors to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Job Description :

· Ensure compliance with local regulations, traffic control standards, and safety guidelines throughout the project. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including design plans, technical specifications, maintenance records, and project reports.

· Collaborate with stakeholders, such as government agencies, transportation departments, and urban planners, to understand traffic needs and objectives.

· Stay updated on the latest trends, research; and innovations in traffic engineering and signal systems. Seek opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings in traffic light projects

· Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including civil engineers, electrical engineers, technicians, and technicians, to ensure successful project execution. Provide technical guidance and support, conduct training sessions, and foster a collaborative work environment.

· Implement quality control measures to ensure that work is performed according to specifications and standards. Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to verify compliance. Address any non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.

· Liaise with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements.

· Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and innovations in traffic engineering and signal systems. Seek opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings in traffic light projects.

· Coordinate with technicians and sub-contractor to complete projects according to the project specification, timeline, and budget.

· Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and support

· Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, change orders, and correspondence. Prepare progress reports, project status updates, and other required documentation. Ensure proper record-keeping for future reference and project closeout

Requirements :

· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

· This position requires at least 2 Years of working experience in the related field.

· Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.

· Applicant must have their own MOTORBIKE, valid driver's license, and be able to drive.
