Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate new plastic manufacturing projects from concept through mass production. You will plan mold trials, act as the main technical contact with Mandarin-speaking customers, and assist in quotations and BOM preparation.

The role requires 2–3 years in manufacturing or injection molding, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/13485 standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years in manufacturing/injection molding/project engineering.
• Able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate new project development (new & modification tools) from start until mass production.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate mold trial activities.
• Act as main technical contact window with customers for engineering matters.
• Assist in quotation preparation for new projects.
• Prepare New Part Information and BOM after part approval.
• Manage engineering change requests from customers and monitor production running changes.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints related to new projects or tooling issues.
• Ensure all new products obtain customer approval before mass production.
• Ensure ISO documentation compliance (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 13485).
• Support cost saving initiatives and project improvement plans.
• Maintain 5S practices within working environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by superior.
