Job summary

Kum Hoi Engineering Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project / Order Coordinator to manage customer orders from confirmation to delivery. You will liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics to ensure smooth execution and timely progress.

Responsibilities include tracking project schedules, monitoring material readiness, overseeing quality checks, and maintaining accurate progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor customer orders from confirmation through to final delivery.
• Liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics to ensure smooth order execution.
• Monitor project schedules and track progress for timely completion and delivery.
• Follow up on material availability, production progress, quality inspections, packing, and delivery arrangements.
• Identify delays, shortages, and issues and escalate to relevant personnel.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues and progress orders as planned.
• Follow up on customer requirements, drawings approvals, revisions, and project matters.
• Prepare and maintain project progress reports and order tracking records.
• Provide updates on order and project status to management and customers as required.
• Coordinate final delivery of completed orders and ensure arrangements are in place.
• Perform other duties related to project and order coordination as assigned by management.

Job description

Coordinate and monitor customer orders from order confirmation through to final delivery.

Liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics departments to ensure smooth order execution.

Monitor project schedules and track progress to ensure timely completion and delivery in accordance with customer requirements.

Follow up on material availability, component readiness, production progress, quality inspections, packing, and delivery arrangements.

Identify potential delays, material shortages, and operational issues that may affect delivery schedules, and promptly escalated them to the relevant personnel.

Coordinate with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues and ensure orders progress according to plan.

Follow up on customer requirements, engineering drawing approvals, revisions, and other project-related matters.

Prepare, update, and maintain project progress reports, order tracking records, and relevant documentation.

Provide regular updates on order and project status to management and customers, where required.

Coordinate the final delivery of completed orders to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.

Perform other duties related to project and order coordination as assigned by management.

Requirements :

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or a similar industry will be an advantage.

Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

Good organizational skills with strong follow-up and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously and coordinate effectively with various departments.

Basic understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as under pressure.
