Lowell M&E Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical) to support M&E works for building construction projects. The role suits candidates with hands-on site experience who can coordinate electrical works, read drawings, monitor progress and liaise with subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal teams.
The engineer will supervise electrical works on site, plan activities, review drawings and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
We are looking for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to support our M&E works for building construction projects. This role is suitable for candidates with hands-on site experience who can coordinate electrical works, read drawings, monitor progress, and liaise with subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal teams.
Supervise and monitor electrical works at project sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements and safety standards.
Plan, coordinate and monitor site activities, manpower, materials and work schedules to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, clients and internal teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
Review and interpret M&E, architectural and structural drawings for site implementation and coordination.
Monitor the progress and quality of electrical installations and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and project requirements.
Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities with the relevant parties.
Prepare and submit progress updates, reports, technical documentation and other project records as required.
Work closely with the Contract and Purchasing departments to ensure timely procurement, delivery and quality control of materials.
Attend site meetings, inspections and technical discussions with consultants, clients and subcontractors.
Ensure all works comply with applicable industry standards, authority requirements and company quality procedures.
Highlight project risks, delays and technical issues to the Superior or HOD and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Department or Management.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, M&E Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction, preferably building or M&E projects.
Experience in electrical site supervision, project coordination and subcontractor management.
Able to read and interpret M&E, architectural and structural drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Good communication, problem-solving and site coordination skills, with the ability to work independently under project deadlines.
Hands‑on involvement in building construction and M&E project works.
Exposure to project planning, site execution, technical coordination, testing and commissioning.
