ESD Engineering Sdn Bhd in Selangor is seeking a Project Engineer to join our engineering team. This full-time role focuses on planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality and efficiency across project phases.

You will prepare drawings in AutoCAD/EPLAN, manage timelines and budgets, conduct site inspections, and maintain thorough project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of project engineering or similar experience in construction/engineering.
• Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
• PE registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review control panel and construction drawings using AutoCAD or EPLAN.
• Plan and schedule project activities to meet milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors and stakeholders.

About the role

ESD Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, where you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet our high standards of quality and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst developing your expertise in project engineering within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review control panel and constructions drawings using AutoCAD / EPLAN.
• Plan and schedule project activities, ensuring timely completion of all engineering milestones and deliverables
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project progress
• Monitor project budgets and manage costs to ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify that work meets engineering specifications and standards
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings
• Identify and resolve project risks and issues in a timely manner to minimise disruptions
• Liaise with clients and internal management to provide regular project status updates and manage expectations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases
• Support the procurement process for materials and equipment required for project execution

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role within the construction or engineering industry
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and project management methodologies
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar applications
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate effectively with diverse teams
• Problem-solving mindset with the capability to identify solutions and make sound decisions under pressure
• Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy in all deliverables
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or willingness to pursue it would be advantageous
• Possess own transport (car/motorcycle) and able to travel without issues.
