Job summary

TG Malaysia, located in Puchong, Selangor, designs and manufactures cryogenic systems and related equipment. The Project Engineer will coordinate engineering documentation, support site activities, and help implement digital workflows to improve project efficiency and traceability.

With guidance from the Project Manager, you will assist in fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning, and help prepare project updates and customer communications for successful project handover.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical or related engineering discipline.
• Familiar with engineering documentation systems and basic project management tools.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and willing to learn new digital tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and project support including design coordination, documentation control and progress reporting.
• Support fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure deliverables meet specifications, standards and customer requirements.

Our client designs, manufactures, and supplies precision ultra-low temperature systems, vacuum-insulated equipment, and specialized components. Operating a modern facility in Puchong, Selangor, they utilize advanced robotics and super-insulation technology to handle cryogenic liquids like nitrogen, helium, hydrogen, and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Job Purpose

The Project Engineer supports the execution of engineering and cryogenic projects by coordinating technical, documentation, and site-related activities. This role also contributes to improving project processes through digital tools and automation, ensuring efficient workflows and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Project Support

• Assist in engineering design coordination, technical documentation, and drawing control.
• Support project execution activities including fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
• Utilize digital systems for documentation control, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Support the implementation of automated workflows for approvals, revisions, and project records.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve project procedures and efficiency.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, production) and external parties.
• Assist in preparing project updates, reports, and customer communications.
• Support site activities and resolve technical issues under guidance from the Project Manager.
• Support customer inspections, FAT/SAT, and handover activities.
• Assist in post-project documentation, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
