Job summary

Arup Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Programme and Project Management services. You will help lead complex projects from planning through delivery, manage scope, schedule, risks and client relationships, and contribute to winning new work through bids and proposals.

The role requires a relevant tertiary qualification and at least two years of project management experience in a consulting environment, with a PM diploma or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, project management, quantity surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience in a consultant environment
• Recognised project management qualification or certification such as PM Diploma, Masters, PMQ, PMP, CPPM, MSP or PRINCE2, or equivalent demonstrable experience
• Strong knowledge of project management across scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, issues and procurement
• Ability to analyse project information, report outcomes and address risks or performance gaps
• Proficiency with digital tools supporting analysis, reporting and management of complex projects or programmes

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex projects and advisory engagements from planning through to completion
• Manage project scope, programme, resources, quality, risks, and commercial performance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for future work
• Lead or contribute to bids, proposals, and presentations
• Prepare client reports and provide strategic advice to support project outcomes
• Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Take accountability for project performance, delivery outcomes, and team success
