QUADRANT TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Project Assistant Engineer to support end-to-end project execution, track schedules, manage technical docs, and liaise across departments from NPI to mass production.
You will review 2D/3D drawings, BOMs with engineering and sales teams, organize trial reports, ECNs, and customer submissions, and help monitor costs and deadlines to ensure milestones are met.
This is a Project Assistant Engineer role responsible for tracking project schedules, managing technical documentation, and coordinating cross-departmental operations from initial NPI/sample trial to mass production. You will act as the key liaison to handle project status updates and ensure all project milestones are met.
Key responsibilities
Track and manage end-to-end project schedules, ensuring all engineering samples and mass production orders are delivered on time.
Assist in reviewing 2D/3D engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) with clients and internal technical teams.
Coordinate cross-departmental communications among Engineering, Sales, PMC, Quality, and Production teams to address project bottlenecks.
Prepare and organize project documentation, trial run reports, Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and customer submission files.
Monitor project cost, sample preparation progress, and follow up on customer approval feedback promptly.
Assist in organizing project review meetings, logging action items, and tracking resolution progress.
About you
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical disciplines.
Experience: Minimum 1–2+ years of project support, project engineering, or NPI experience in manufacturing factories. Fresh graduates with strong technical background are welcome to apply.
Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D Engineering Drawings.
Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Understanding of general manufacturing, machining, or assembly processes.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, excellent communication, proactive problem-solving attitude, and ability to work under project deadlines.
