Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Training Specialist to design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs within a food manufacturing environment. You will create training materials, deliver onboarding, lead GMP/HACCP and food safety sessions, coordinate equipment operation training, and assess staff competency to meet regulatory and ISO standards.

Collaborate with Production Management to identify competency gaps and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering training in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP and ISO audit preparation.
• Ability to create engaging training materials (manuals, presentations, modules).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs aligned with food manufacturing regulations and company policies.
• Prepare training materials including manuals and interactive modules.
• Deliver onboarding and orientation briefings for new employees.
• Conduct training on food handling, sanitation and GMP/HACCP requirements.
• Coordinate training on operation and basic maintenance of production machinery.
• Provide refresher training when processes or equipment change.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and OJT materials.
• Coordinate and conduct annual competency assessments.

This role involves developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs within a food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for creating training materials, conducting employee onboarding, delivering food safety and hygiene training, coordinating equipment operation training, and assessing employee competency to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs aligned with food manufacturing regulations, company policies, and specific job and competency requirements
• Prepare training materials, including manuals, presentations and interactive learning modules
• Review and update training programs based on operational and regulatory changes
• Support orientation and induction briefings for new employees
• Conduct training on proper food handling, sanitation, personal hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
• Coordinate training on the safe operation and basic maintenance of production machinery and technology
• Provide refresher training when there are changes to equipment, production processes or work instructions
• Develop, review and maintain production work instructions and On-the-Job Training (OJT) materials
• Coordinate and conduct competency assessments for trained employees at least annually
• Collaborate with Production Management and Line Managers to identify competency gaps and process improvement opportunities

Requirements

• Ability to communicate training objectives, expectations and feedback clearly to employees at all levels
• Ability to ensure training materials meet operational and ISO audit requirements
• Ability to ensure at least 85% of relevant employees complete required competency assessments
• Ability to identify competency gaps and arrange corrective or refresher training
