Smiths Detection in Malaysia is seeking a versatile Production Technician to support the manufacturing of swabs and other laboratory-based production activities. You will operate automated production equipment, perform quality inspections, and assist with component assembly and calibrant preparation on a rotating shift.

The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing.
• Experience with automated production machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated swab production machinery.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance.
• Record production outputs and quality results.
• Support assembly and calibrant preparation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and traceability of materials.
• Rotate between production areas as needed.
• Keep a clean, safe, and compliant workspace.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties to support production.
