Production Supervisor - Welding & Lean Leader (Malaysia)

Job summary

UCT in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisor, Production to oversee daily welding and machining operations, ensuring manpower is planned and deployed to meet production and shipment targets while maintaining quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing, and familiarity with TIG and orbital welding, cleanroom standards ISO14644-5 and GMP; candidate will drive CIP, 5S, and lean initiatives and lead a shift-based team.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years relevant experience in the welding industry.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with TIG and Orbital Welding and machining processes.
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and compliance standards (ISO14644-5, GMP).

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing operations activities of UCTM.
• Plan and deploy manpower according to products requirement.
• Ensure production and shipment is on time.
• Cross training of employees across product group.
• Able to guide and lead the production team to meet OTD.
• Able to resolve day to day line issues and initiate CIP to improve line MLT and productivity.
• Support 5S and lean activities.
• Flexible to work in shift and overtime as necessary.
