If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.## Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a ***Production Supervisor*****located in*****Bukit Minyak, Penang*****.****What a typical day looks like:*** Responsible for leading production and engineering activities to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity (SQDCP) objectives.Responsible for the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment.* Monitor production performance, capacity, manpower utilization, downtime and productivity.* Manages a team of professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements.* Reviews daily/regularly plant operating performance, evaluate areas that may be impacting performance, and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies/quality.* Troubleshoots/analyses operational problems and advises on their resolution. Holds regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding/capability.* Evaluate ideas for plant improvements and work with qualified engineers to develop project proposals to encourage improvements and changes.* Provides technical/operational advice to project teams.* Support new product introduction, production ramp-up and process readiness.* Reduce cycle time, downtime, defects, scrap and production waste.* Monitor FPY, defect rate, rework, scrap and other quality indicators.* May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.* May train and coach junior operators and junior team supervisors* Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.* Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.* Assists in department budget planning and managing department expenses.* Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.* Ensures compliance of standards.* Ensure that all manufacturing area personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions.* Ensure that all manufacturing personnel adhere to all safety guidelines.* Lead Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma improvement activities to drive productivity and cost-reduction projects**The experience we’re looking to add to our team:*** Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience related to manufacturing/production engineering.* At least 6 years of operations and supervisory or team leadership experience and/or related experience and/or trade knowledge.* Demonstrates experience in performance development, teaching/leading, mentoring and/or organization development.* Experience in high-volume manufacturing is preferred.* Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety requirements.* Experience with Lean Manufacturing and structured problem solving.**What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:*** Full range of medical benefits, dental, vision* Life Insurance* Paid Time Off* Allowances & Bonuses SS17 ## ## Job CategoryOperationsRequired Skills:Optional Skills:Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
